James G. Geanuracos attended Columbia College and received a B.A. in History in 1976. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1983 from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Attorney Geanuracos started his legal career as a law clerk in 1982 at the respected law firm of Skelley Rottner P.C. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1983, and continued his career at Skelley Rottner P.C. where he went on to become a Partner from 1990 to 2004. In 2004, Attorney Geanuracos began his own law firm in West Hartford Center where he continues to provide strong and focused representation and legal counsel to individuals and corporate entities.

Attorney Geanuracos is a member of many professional associations including, the Hartford County, Connecticut and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association and the Insurance Programs for the Connecticut Bar Committee. He has served as a Mediator and Arbitrator in the Connecticut Court System and has provided sound judgment and guidance in all stages of Alternative Dispute Resolutions.

Attorney Geanuracos has been actively involved in the Connecticut Special Olympics since 1997. He is an assistant coach with Mid State Special Olympics Swim Team, and participates as a unified partner in both swimming and bowling competitions.
